DAY 1 - LEAVE U.S. ON OVERNIGHT / FLIGHT TO SHANNON AIRPORT
Depart your hometown airport for Ireland. (Air transportation not included in the land tour rice.) Overnight flight across the Atlantic with meals served on board. |

2 - WATERFORD CRYSTAL FACTORY
Your guide and driver, Aidan Murray of Harp and Shamrock tours, will meet you early in the
morning at Shannon International Airport. Depart for Waterford City in the southeast and visit
the famed Waterford Crystal Factory. Lots of sparkle! Continue to New Ross and your two night
stay at the Creacon Lodge, set amidst the peace and tranquility of the countryside two
hours from Dublin. You will be treated to a wonderful dinner tonight in the lodge dining
room. D

DAY 3 - DUNBRODY EMIGRANT SHIP
Start the day with your included Irish breakfast. Later we’ll drive to quay side in New Ross to visit the Dunbrody Emigrant Ship, a replica of a three-masted barque that carried Irish emigrants to the New World from 1845-1870. Experience the sights, smells and sounds of a tall ship crossing the ocean. After, we’ll drive to the quaint fishing port of Dunmore East where we’ll enjoy lunch on your own at one of the restaurants featuring the catch of the day on their varied menus. A leisurely return to the Creacon Lodge for dinner and overnight. B, D |

DAY
4 - DUBLIN - BOOK OF KELLS
We’ll drive north this morning through County Wicklow to Dublin where we’ll have a city sightseeing
tour. Included will be 1,777-acre Phoenix Park, one of the largest and most magnificent
parks in Europe. Walk the nature trails and see deer roaming the forested areas. Then we’ll go
to the city center where there will be time to visit the prestigious Trinity College and see the
famous Book of Kells. Continuing through the bustling Dublin streets, you’ll see the famed doors,
possibly Molly Malone, and the General Post Office of the Easter Monday 1916 Uprising.
We’ll continue on to Daly’s outside the city for dinner and overnight. B, D

DAY 5 - NEWGRANGE - DONEGAL
Early morning visit to Newgrange with its white quartz facade and the Megalithic Passage
Tomb, a 5,000 year-old burial site that is one of the Wonders of the World. A very dramatic setting only enhances your visit to this tomb site. Continue through some towns in Northern Ireland, including Strabane and Omagh, the latter the scene of a horrific bombing and loss of life several years ago. Late afternoon arrival at the Hotel Villa Rose in Ballybofey for a two-night stay. Dinner this evening in the hotel dining room. B, D

DAY 6 - LETTERKENNY - MALIN HEAD
North today to Letterkenny,sitting at the mouth of the magnificent Lough Swilly, and continuing on to the Inishowen Peninsula to Buncrana and Carndonagh, the site of the St. Patrick’s Cross, one of Irish Christendom’s earliest art forms. Passing the village of Malin we reach Malin Head, the northernmost point in all of Ireland. We’ll stop at Farna’s Bar for an “Irish Coffee.” Leisurely return to Ballybofey for dinner and overnight. DAY 7 - SLIGO - QUIET MAN - ARAN ISLANDS
South today as we head for Sligo and the “Holy Well.” Later a stop in Drumcliff to visit the grave of William Butler Yeats, one of Ireland’s greatest writers. Continue to the village of Cong, site of the John Wayne film, The Quiet Man.” In nearby Neale we’ll stop for lunch at Joe Millotte’s Pub. Joe was the stand-in for John Wayne during the filming. Then past Maam Cross to the Connemara Airport and a short flight to the Aran Islands. You’ll step back in time during your drive around the island with a local driver. Stop at the Dun Aengus Fort Visitor’s Center with the possibility of visiting the fort. Dinner and overnight on the island. B, D |
DAY 8 - ARAN ISLANDS - GALWAY CITY
Catch a morning flight back to the mainland. Start the day with a visit to Staunduns of Spiddal, famous for the hand-knits and other Irish crafts and souvenirs you’ll need to bring home. Continue to the Connemara Marble Factory where we’ll have a short stop. Then on to Gallaway for afternoon sightseeing, including the Cathedral. Free time in the city before we check in at our B&B with dinner at a nearby restaurant. B, D |

9 - BURREN - CLIFFS OF MOHER
Begin our day with a drive through the Burren with its lunar-like landscape.
We’ll stop at the magnificent Cliffs of Moher, always a tour highlight, some 700
feet above the Atlantic. Next, we’ll take the car ferry across the River Shannon
and continue through Tralee to our castle hotel, beautiful Ballyseede Castle, for
our two-night stay. Dinner tonight in the dining room. B, D

DAY 10 - RING OF KERRY - MUCKROSS HOUSE
This morning we’ll drive to Killorglin where the annual Puck Fair is held in August. We’ll continue on to the famous Ring of Kerry through Cahircveen and Waterville. We’ll return to Killarney for a visit of Muckross House. Then back to Ballyseede Castle for dinner and overnight. B, D |

DAY 11 - DINGLE PENINSULA - BUNRATTY - CEILI
Today’s excursion is a full day of sightseeing on the Dingle Peninsula, with superb coastal scenery. Travel through Tralee and over Conor Pass (accessible only by car or small coach), to Dingle with its fishing fleet and Funghi the Dolphin. Venturing around Slea Head, we’ll enjoy the gorgeous scenery en route. Return to Dingle for a short stop to browse the many shops and pubs. Continue to Bunratty for dinner and overnight. Dinner with a “Ceili” will be enjoyed at the Bunratty Hotel. B, D |
DAY 12 - RETURN TO U.S.
